Newfoundland wedding photographer Darren Hatt - recently sparked a fun conversation on the subject of wedding cakes over on the Newfoundland Brides Wedding planning group.
Hatt shared a photo of a cake being eaten by a figure of a dog - saying,
“I've photographed 100s of weddings, how has no one ever done this before?!”
Many Newfoundland brides-to-be responded warmly to the idea and shared how they planned on working their pets into their wedding day.
Newfoundland Wedding Photographer Shawn Taylor said, "Trends and toppers come and go over the years.
Its interesting to see the different trends in cakes over the years - and the current popular styles - loving the recent popularity of donut walls and cake pops."
Taylor mentioned a recent couple that had an entire "cake" made of stacked wheels of cheese.
"That was a first for me!.”
Doug and the team at Gypsy Tea Room joined forces with an impressive lineup of Newfoundland wedding vendors to help Tammy and Scott celebrate their downtown St John's summer wedding.
